Marshall Area Farmers Market Announces New Addition!

The Saturday Marshall Area Farmers’ Market Community will be mixing it up a little this season. The group is introducing “2nd Saturday ART at the MARKET”, which will be held on May 14, June 11, July16, Sept. 10 and Oct. 8. This is the first year that Art at the Market will be held in conjunction with the Saturday Farmers’ Market. “Marshall’s farmers’ market recognizes the opportunity to support the areas artisan vendors.” Market Manager, Pam Wolfersberger said. “This is a wonderful way to provide space for our artisan community to showcase and sell their creations.”  “You can shop the farmers’ market vendors for your fresh produce, meats, breads eggs and more! We are offering another place for people to have a local shopping experience by visiting the artisan booths to see their amazing creations available for purchasing.”

This past December, the Market hosted a successful “Holiday Farmers Market” that brought in artisans from all over the area. Since then, many artisans have asked the Market Advisory Board to produce something in which they could participate. And that is when 2nd Saturday ART at the MARKET was born!

“2nd Saturday ART at the MARKET” is starting the application process for area artisans/crafters as of March 5, 2022. The market has set aside 15-20 spaces for artisans. To obtain an application, and fee information, go to the Market website:  www.marshallareafarmersmarket.org OR the city of Marshall’s website: www.cityofmarshall.com › departments. Or stop by the Winter Market at the BE Henry Bldg., 615 S. Marshall on Saturdays (March 5, March 19, April 2, April 16) between 9am-Noon to pick up application. Any question??  Message the Market on their Facebook page. Applications are due by April 15, 2022. Due to the number of allotted spaces, all applicants will be notified by April 22 if they have been accepted.
